Thanks everyone, I wil update this thread next week once we know more.

I broke the news to DS last night and he is pretty angry. He doesn’t feel ill so cannot understand why they might want to consider transplant. He is angry about staying in hospital when he isn’t even poorly and very upset that we may not be able to go on our special holiday at easter. We have to go to the hospital this afternoon for something else and the specialist nurse is going to come and see us to answer any of his questions so hopefully that helps.

Its such a difficult time, especially when he doesnt 'feel ill' . Our kids who have these seriou smedical issues have to take so much on board at ayoung age that even adults find it hard to comprehend. We were told that DD MRI scans were OK, until this summer then told she had a brain tumour, and needed to do biopsy, devastated doesnt even come close. DD is 8 and has learning difficulties so explaining was hard about her operation etc, as she didnt feel poorly then after surgery felt awful. Trying to process information and dealing with consequences is something that feels impossible, but with the strength of family and friends you will all get through. X best wishes to your son. X

Not a good update sadly. They are 80-90% sure that the growth on my son’s liver is cancerous and it’s sadly too big to operate on as it would leave him with only 1/4 of a liver and as his liver doesn’t function properly he wouldn’t be able to manage so the only option for him is a liver transplant. He will probably be put on the list at the end of this week.
