You’re definitely not alone.

I did this years ago opening a tin of cat food! After a few days of it not going I went to the drs and got strong painkillers which didn’t do much.

I went into total despair and felt like I was going to be like it forever, and we had a Holiday to India coming up to. I couldn’t lie down and couldn’t sleep on the sofa. I tried every pillow and cushion in every position including blow up neck pillows. It felt like my head was too heavy and I couldn’t hold it up but I couldn’t relieve it at all.

Physio didn’t seem to be helping and then it just went. Felt like one minute I was in pain and the next it had gone. Very strange.

Hang in there, it will go xx

Do you have any PMI through work by any chance? With the policy at my work we can self refer for 6 sessions of physio by calling a number in the pack so it’s much quicker than waiting to see GP/consultant. My friend got seen within a couple of days for a foot problem and the physio was much better for her than the pain relief tablets had been.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Hope OP feels better soon and gets to enjoy her hols - my DH had something similar with his shoulder a few years ago - was absolute agony, then just went away by itself after a few days - he was on dihydracodeine which is very strong but sends him a bit loopy - entertaining for the rest of the family, but not much fun for him.

Hope it improves soon and you are fit and well for your holiday. I have a long term problem with my back and have debris floating which pushes on the nerves so I completely understand how you're feeling. An appointment with a physio could really help. Hope its better soon.
