Mobile Old US Dollars - help

I was recently given some US Dollars by my brother from a trip we took back in 2003 he doesn't need them and thought we could make use of them. It's only a small amount ($27) but every bit helps.

My question is, will these notes still be legal tender in the US? Reason I ask is although the pictures on the notes are they same the notes are slightly different and I notice the newer notes have a little bit of colour. I have a $20, $5 and two $1 notes.

Any answers would be gratefully received 😊.

Thank you

Unlike the UK, the US bank notes remain legal tender regardless of when they were printed.

Happy spending!

Old UK notes that go out of circulation can still be exchanged at the bank.

Thanks Rachie I was worried that they would be rejected if I tried to spend them. We don't have as much spending money this year so every bit counts.
