If you want to do the mazes make sure you book, they open from around 12pm and most are indoors so try and do them in the afternoon and save the dark hours for night rides!
Wickerman, Nemesis, Thirteen and Smiler are great in the dark. If you leave the park at the end of the day once it has closed (9pm) head out via the the exit gate near Galactica. This brings you straight out on to the car parks so no need to queue for the monorail. If you plan to make Nemesis/Galactica your last rides this will work out well. Maze wise Darkest Depths and The Alton Towers Dungeon are the most 'tame' with Sub-Species and Mine Tours being the most extreme. The earlier you arrive (monorail runs from 9.30am, gates open at 10am) the easier it will be to get parked and get into the park. Edited to add: if you have little ones with you there is lots of family entertainment in CBeebies Land and on the stage at the bottom of Towers Street. Enjoy! Edited at 12:08 PM. |

Its a good event, lots of decoration around Towers St, they have flash mob/dancers on Towers St in the morning and Gloomy Wood in the afternoon. The mazes are extra so I would research which ones appeal and book those.

If you're going with any little ones it might be worth noting that Cbeebies land a few of the smaller rides close at 7pm.
