Is hiring a car for a day or two an option then you could visit those out of the way places?

A bit convoluted but if you can get to the SunRail station at Sand Lake Road there is a train to Altamonte with a connecting bus service to the Mall. The Sunrail has all the relevant bus details, I am sure there is a bus from I-Drive to the terminal. It would make a decent day out!

As said there is a Jo Anns and Hobby Lobby close to each other on East Colonial Drive but Altimonte Mall is miles away and tbh not worth the expense of taxis, better off hiring a car for the day and plan where you want to go so you get it all done in the hire time.
