Suitcases buying advice
Hey all
We are going to need some new suitcases for adults and kids. Any you recommend and any Disney themed or just plain(thinking kids may like them) Thanks 🙏

Wacky is my advice! I wouldn’t have a straight plain black one. Bright colours or straps make them easier to spot on the carousel. And 4 wheel spinners are the way forward!
Check out Costco they periodically have ‘deals’ on sets of samsonite ect. Otherwise Tripp or IT are the dinner brands of choice it seams!

4 wheels on all cases is a must imo. We have some Tripp cases. They work well for us but I am no case expert!

Definitely four wheels. I bought us black Tripp cases that have a Lego effect design. Went to NY in December and there must have been at least ten of the same case going round in the carousel! I’ve got bright coloured tape round the handles or couldn’t have told them apart

I bought Samonite Aeris cases for us about 7 years ago and although they were expensive they have been very extensively used and have held up brilliantly. I picked the brightest colours they had at the time so we have 2 bright orange and 2 bright green, we also put rainbow case straps on them that have our surname embroidered on them.
Also we got a 10 year guarantee from Samsonite with them and when one of the lock jammed and we had to force it open they repaired it FOC without question.

We all have our own Tripp cases, each in a different colour. We have straps personalised with our initials so we can find them easily on the carousel. We have used them a number of times, they have had a few scuffs but I have always managed to get them out after rubbing with a bit of toothpaste !

B&M have some lovely designs, I think I saw a couple of Disney ones. I’ve no idea of quality though - might fall apart the first time the baggage handler throws them onto the conveyor belt 🤬 !

Look at Revelation- they are made by Antler but a lot cheaper! We have the weightless ones, they are so light but sturdy too. Been all over with us. We got them from an Antler outlet store but they are normally well priced online too.

Trying to remember how long we've had our samonite hard shell cases, I reckon at least 15 years. Ok they're quite heavy to start with, but they've had a real battering on some flights.
If and when I buy again, it's definately NO ZIPS 🤐 |
