A few days in the Caribbean anyone ever flew over?
Just a thought but just wondered if anyone had ever flew over to the Caribbean for a few days while in Florida.
If so did you find it easy enough to do? Were the flights expensive? Also any particular Islands your recommend? Many thanks |

We have been to Trinidad many times from Miami, it’s a fair way but we stayed with family.
I would look at Bahamas personally, much closer. |

I helped a friend last year book her honeymoon, She wanted her first part in Disney and the next part in Mexico, It was really easy to do.
We went onto BA and put in Multi city (just flights) We was able to book flights into Orlando and then return from Cancun Mexico. We then looked at local flights from Orlando to Cancun, I think the flight was quick about 2.5 hours and return flights were under £200. We then booked Disney direct to get free DDP. and booked a 24 hour AI resort in Mexico from BA as they was the cheapest at the time. The return flights from BA worked out cheaper flying into Orlando and out of Cancun. I do not know about other destinations, But Mexico could be an option.

You can do a cruise to the Caribbean from Port Canaveral which is just over an hour drive from Orlando. It's amazing to wake up at a different island each day!

I’ve done it a few times and it’s super easy. I’ve used South West and Jet Blue and just booked it myself at home on the Internet.
I’ve taken the Magical Express back to MCO or driven there sometimes.

We have flown to many Caribbean island direct from Miami as we used to have a home in the Caribbean. Short flights and blue seas, but remember the caribbean is third world and can come as a culture shock or a refreshing change after the US depending on your perspective.

As for a for a cruise we did that once and had an awful experience so unfortunately not something I would like to try again. |
