We like Princess and have done 21 cruises with them. We have two booked for next year so hopefully there will be a vaccine or effective treatment by then. We were due sail on the Enchanted Princess in November (transatlantic) but it has been cancelled - the Enchanted is a new build and isn’t finished yet as owing to Covid there is a long delay.
As others have said we enjoy the on board experience- dining, entertainment, great service, etc. |

That’s interesting, as this cruise I was looking at is for January, so wonder if that could cause problems. Best research it a bit more

Unlike a previous poster, we prefer the newer Princess ships but acknowledge that the balconies are very small. Our first cruise was on the Grand Princess around Alaska - just the most fabulous cruise and huge balcony location (corner back of ship) but the cabin itself was underwhelming, whereas we loved the Royal and Regal cabins - we have had the deluxe balcony cabins with a sofa and a bit more space however.
I agree with the OP about buffets generally but on the newer ships - Royal, Regal and I expect, Enchanted (we should have been on it’s cancelled TA in November :cry) they are excellent. They also have a (no extra charge) dedicated Italian restaurant, Alfredo’s, which does excellent pizzas. Most of my cruises have been with Celebrity, but I think Princess is a good product.

December 15th is the newest date that Princess hope to resume Caribbean cruises.
Would love to cruise early next year but cant see that happening even if the cruises have resumed. |
