Dreaming, Then The Beach Club Day 17

Day 17 - Tuesday Sept 17th

After coffee and (you guessed it) a pastry in the sun, I decided that rather than leave the packing till tonight when I probably couldn't be bothered, I'd do some this morning, so DH thankfully went to the pool with his book, out of my way for a while.
I managed to do most of it - filling the empty case and a spare carry on bag too. The shopping and bits just seem to mount up more than you think over the holiday! Then I headed down to join him at the quiet pool with my book and cold drink. We stayed there until lunchtime when we had a quick shower and got the boat to Hollywood Studios.
We'd missed 2 FP by being lazy and didn't want to miss our second ride on Slinky Dog, but first we stopped at Starbucks for, well you couldn't call it lunch, but it was nice! (I'm dreading Slimming World next week!)
After SDD we got onto Toy Story Mania with a 20 min wait, then wandered through to Galaxy's Edge where there were various characters walking around, and we checked out a Storm Trooper suit for only $6,615 and DH found himself saying 'well it's not bad really for what you're getting!' We bought a mug.
We then went in the single rider line again for Smugglers Run and we were in and out in 20 mins. We loved it. We've found that it gets to be a better experience the more you do it as the first time you're a bit distracted, I'd also advise queuing up properly the first time, then using single rider after that if you don't mind being apart.
Then after going on Star Tours we found ourselves with a martini in the Hollywood Brown Derby lounge and watched the SW show from there.
We'd missed our Frozen show FP earlier, so we caught it 10 mins before starting, it's always funny - and has proper seats and air con 😊.
Time to say goodbye to HS for this trip and we got our last boat 'home' to get ready for a walk round the lake to Flying Fish Cafe where we had the best meal of the trip, my filet was fabulous, and when we ordered the cheese plate as an appetiser we went with the servers suggestion of counting it as a dessert rather than paying extra, then just sharing 1 dessert - we were glad we did as the dessert was big.
The walk back to BC was lovely in the dark, and when we got back I was so pleased that most of the packing was done!
Almost time for home ...

Definitely the right idea to get the packing done before going to enjoy your day. Sounds like another fab day in HS.

What a great idea to watch the Star Wars show from HBD with a drink, I'll be adding that to my notes for a next time trip. It always feels like it's hotter than the surface of the sun at that bit of the Studios.

The Flying Fish food looks amazing.

We've never had a bad meal or service in there - one of our faves
