I was 12 and my sister 11 when my parents took us and we really enjoyed it. I got to drive quad bikes and snow plows on the snow. My parents have still got the Reindeer Bells Santa give us. I know he wasn’t real but enjoyed the trip to Lapland we maybe going next year for my MIL’s 70th as she really wants to go.

We took our 12 & 8 year old in 2018 just before christmas, it was absolutely amazing and we'll be going back hopefully this year. Our eldests birthday is March so she'll be 3 months off her 15th birthday, she'll still love it.

I think they would really enjoy it. We went to Yllas on a 3 night trip and it was magical. The countryside with snow on the trees is stunning with amazing sunrises. We visited an ice village and went on a dog sleigh ride which was fun.

My sister lives in Finnish Lapland and it is magical whatever the age. Even just seeing the amount of snow is magical. We go yearly to visit and my 21 year old still loves it.

The issue with going with older kids is that they also have to undertake the "adult obligation" to play along for the younger kids.
Whether he totally believes, is sceptical or downright knows it isn't true won't affect his enjoyment, it's a great experience. What will affect your enjoyment is if he tells a bunch of younger kids it isn't true and all the adults who have paid £800+ for each person to be there round on you and him for ruining it... |

It has been in my radar for years, I will definitely get there sometime soon and I am nearly 50. It looks magical and great fun and I do not believe in Father Christmas any more.

Hi in reply to 2waterford
Re visiting after Christmas Eve Hi, Still had individual Santa meet in the woods. He magically still had information - what they had received for Christmas and info about them including letter they had written. He explained he was about to take a long holiday before getting busy with the next Christmas. It was brilliantly done and completely credible. As our daughter was older the second visit it strenthened the magic for her as Santa knew her pressies.
