Tennessee holiday

I'm looking at a week in Tennessee in October.
Looking at visiting dollywood, the mountains, pigeon forge and a trip on the zip line.

Any suggestions on other places to visit please?

Sorry, no suggestions OP, but we are thinking about a similar trip...probably late November time. Are you thinking of flying into Atlanta or Knoxville?

Happy planning. X

Just to say one of the Dibbers I enjoy following on YouTube did a trip covering Tennessee. They didn’t get up to Dollywood but stopped at some interesting looking places. X

Ideally Knoxville as closer but flight connections are rubbish from Washington.
Flights to Atlanta are high currently but no rush to book.

We stayed in Sevierville and did some wonderful walks, saw plenty of bears, zip lining, mountain coaster, titanic museum which was really good and of course Dollywood my favourite theme park ever. I don’t think I have given you any different options to what you have already said have I but I just wanted to say it was one of our best holidays. There are some good trip reports to read on here as well.

We did a great trip, flew into Atlanta. Should have stopped Kennesaw first night (plane was delayed 16 hours so we never made that, flew to Atlanta getting in 18 hours late, and drove straight to Smokies), stayed in a cabin Bear Creek Crossing, then went to North Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head.
Atlanta is a good place to stay for a few nights, and Six Flags has some great coasters there.

Biltmore estate in Asheville, NC is a great day out and has great grounds and gardens to walk about also. If you like birds right next door to Dollywood is Parrot Mountain where there are loads of rescued birds (mainly parrots). Loads are outside cages and you can feed and interact with them - I loved it.
