Old Key West + value resort questions

For our first trip we stayed in CBR. This meant having the kids in the same room and it was a little bit cramped. I've read OKW has larger rooms with separate sleeping areas. It never comes up when I search.

Is there a reason it doesn't show? Does it have larger rooms? How would it compare to CBR? Is it significantly more expensive?

Another question is are the value resorts that much different to the the likes of CBR? If we weren't able to get something bigger for not silly money, would we lose much by going for a value resort? We used the pool a couple of times a CBR, but other than that we were at the parks or in the room.

For next trip am tentatively looking at POFQ.

They have one and two bedroom suites at OKW, but they are very pricey.

It’s likely to be at least double the price if you want a one bed unit (that’s the only way you can get a separate sleeping area at OKW).

A studio will be cheaper, more than CBR and POFQ but not double.

Or you could rent DVC points but I’d suggest that may not be beneficial as you’d lose free dining.

I think All Star Music has suites which might be of use to consider.
