Are we going in May...or not? Day 8 - Epcot

We’re up at 6.20 this morning, Jane has been awake since 3! Tea and toast all round for breakfast and we leave about 8.30, heading to Epcot today. We call at the gas station at Champions Gate, it’s $2.59 a gallon.

The I4 is busy but moving and we arrive at Epcot at 9am. No bags for Richard so he goes to get our tickets. Me and Jane are both in the slowest queue ever. Here’s a tip for you - if you see me in a queue, don’t ever join it!

We’re in after a drama with Jane buying her ticket, they wanted to see ID, she doesn’t have it with her (didn’t ask richard for ID) so they said they would allow it ‘just this once’!

We waste half an hour while Richard takes a call from our credit card, we are disputing a charge from Avis for a $130 parking violation on New Years Day at 2am, we were tucked up in bed in Naples and the car was tucked up in the car park at the hotel!
Anyway I digress!

We head into Epcot and go to Guest Relations to get Richard a DAS Card, no problem at all.

Next stop is Starbucks, huge queue that moves pretty quickly thankfully. I have a Vanilla Frap, Richard has a Caramel Crunch Frap, Jane has a Latte.

Can’t spell my name!

We head to Soarin and get a DAS return for half an hours time. The Living Seas is 20 mins so we ride that while we wait.

Next stop Soarin, first time we’ve ridden it since the revamp, we enjoyed it.

World Showcase is now open so we head in that direction. Jane doesn’t do wizzy rides so Test Track and Mission Space are out for today.

We visit the Butterfly house, its incredibly hot but the butterfly’s are beautiful. We actually get to see one hatch and stretch it’s wings for the first time.

Flowers are stunning, everywhere looks so beautiful.

First little food stop! Seared Scallops with green beans and baby potatoes, was amazing!

Richard has Griddled Maple Cake which he also says is amazing.

Jane buys a fluffy Husky from Canada, she lost her Husky Neko a couple of months ago😢

We arrive in England, Jane wants Fish and Chips, me and Richard shared one too.
Really nice but a tad expensive at $12.

We wander around the world stopping in Japan, Richard rests while me and Jane walk around the shop but don’t buy anything.

We literally just wander around the world and take in all the gorgeous flowers.

Back in a bit, it’s Bake off time!

Ok I’m back for the last bit!

By just after 3pm we’ve had enough and really Richards ankle has certainly had enough!

We call at Publix on the way home for a mini shop which includes loads of soft drinks, it’s so hot we’re getting through gallons.
I took some photos of the Great British Food Aisle for you.

Pool time and a beer for the others, it’s Gin ‘o’ clock for me!

A relaxing evening with Publix chicken, yes we love it, and nibbles for tea, followed by another Midsomer Murders on Netflix!
