Wow everyone thank you, will have a proper read through all your recipes and I think I'll put it on my list to make next weekend. DH isn't keen on chilli unless its on top of a bag of doritos and covered in cheese! not quite slimming world though so may have to do wedges with it. i love it on jackets and rice.

I use the Morrisons own brand kidney beans in chilli sauce. They give the chilli a lovely thick texture and dark colour. I brown the mince, add a spoon of beef bovril from the jar, add an onion a tin of chopped tomatoes and some chopped peppers, chilli powder and seasoning.

I usually add some ground cinnamon and ground cloves to taste as we'll.

Had this a few times over last few weeks, delish with brown rice or on a jacket potato, nice and thick not watery at all.
Turkey mince (lean and tastewise no different to beef mince when it's in a chilli)
Two tins chopped tomatoes
Coleman's chilli packet mix
2 diced onions
1 x tin kidney beans
Extra chilli if you like it hot

Throw it all in,stir it up,on high for approx 4 hours then it's done. Couldn't be simpler

Adding a few squares of 90% dark chocolate gives depth to the flavour too

Dice 1 large onion, and add to olive oil in a large saucepan, then cook on low heat until soft.
Add even sized cubes of lean casserole steak (400g for 2 people) and crushed garlic. Brown meat.
Add chilli powder and cumin to taste and either fresh chopped chillies or chilli granules.
Then a glass of red wine and a tin of chopped tomatoes. Add tomato puree which will aid flavour and thickening.
Season with salt and pepper.
Bring to the boil then turn down and simmer for at least an hour, preferably two.
Add tin of kidney beans which have been drained and cook for another 30 minutes.
15 minutes from the end add about 4 squares of dark chocolate.
