Hello!

Hi All

I finally joined after reading on here for the past year or so.

We (myself, husband and 2 children, 9 and 7 years) booked to go to Orlando for 15 nights last Easter. But the day before we were due to go our youngest had an unexplained seizure and we were advised not to travel. She's since been diagnosed with epilepsy and also has Global Developmental Delay.

Anyway we decided to try and re-book and we've currently got 19 nights booked over Easter this year - yay!

I'm booking everything myself after going into a travel agent and being given a huge price which actually gave us two weeks holiday but only 12 days in the parks.

So far i've just booked the flights and as we've only got 10 weeks until we go i thought id best start looking at booking everything else!

Hi and a warm welcome

While sad to hear what happened, at least you have an answer to the health issues and can move forward knowing how to deal with it.

It's also great news that holiday is back on and DIY as well so well done on that. It easy but rewarding. I always find that if I can get more value for the same TA price then I'm happy.

Don't forget travel insurance as you have now bought the flights and also contact the special assistance line for the airline to talk through what assistance may be required.

Have fun planning

Thank you all. I'm actually getting excited about it now - it's been a little bit of a chore if I'm honest as i've been thinking the worse of it all going wrong again!

Travel insurance is all good - we have an ongoing yearly insurance any way and they've all been informed with the updated details etc.

Thanks for that about the airline - we didn't even realised that we could talk to them about any special assistance but we will do.
