Anyone used Turo?
My DH turns 40 shortly before we travel and would like to hire some kind of sports beast for a couple days whilst we are over in Florida.
We can't find many hire companies that do the kind of thing he wants and this that do want around £1000 for two days He's found a site/app called Turo with more reasonable prices (Around £600) but I've ever heard of it (bit like AirBnB for cars) Has anyone heard of them or used them? Thanks

I've heard of them and it's a legit site/app however I've not used it. Although I was tempted. One thing to check though is the insurance cover. I believe they have different levels but didn't look closer enough at it to know if you would be fully covered or had to supply your own top ups.

Almost certainly you will need to arrange your own insurance cover etc.
This will most likely be expensive and expect to have a reasonable line of credit on cc till insurance steps in once you have contacted them in worse case scenario. Look at adrenaline collection from Hertz all is covered.

I have not used it but always checking it regularly to see if anything really good comes up. For me they have some SUV around $29 a day that are of same spec as Alamo etc, but by the time you add in the insurance (and the terrible dollar rate) you end up at about the same price as Alamo or others, so I always think to go with the firm at the airport to get all the securities that come with it.
I do like TUro though and it seems a good idea if you can find a really good deal. |

Anyone used this since this thread was last updated?
Found a Tesla Model X car on there I fancy getting on my next trip for a few days, but not sure how the insurance would work. |
