Alamo "Skip The Counter"
Hi everyone,
I recently booked car hire through floridacarhire.net and have been able to check in with Alamo on-line. However, I could not find how to "Skip The Counter" as there was no option presented. I queried how I could do it with Alamo customer services and received the following response: "Thank you for contacting Alamo customer care. My name is xxxxxx and I would be more than happy to assist you. I have reviewed your reservation and the skip the counter option is not available on prepaid third party reservation bookings. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or concerns." My question is, has anyone else on the forum been able to "Skip The Counter" when booking with Alamo this way? I know I could do it a few years back when I used Alamo with a Virgin FlyDrive. Thanks in advance. Paul |

Paul. The standard garbage e Mail from Alamo. I have seen this at least 20 times from other Dibbers.
Pop onto the Sticky above, it tells you how to do it by opening a second tab. Poor show from Alamo and it appears that it is a stock response for a question that is too hard for them!

That's great, thanks. Thought I had followed all the instructions. In the end, changing the web address from OCIview to bypass worked a treat.
