Harry Potter restaurants
Hello. Just looking for info / recommendation on the restaurants in the Harry Potter areas at universal.
1) Which one would you recommend for best overall theming /experience /food 2) do you make advance reservations like Disney or is it just turn up at the time? (if reservations how do you go about it?) 3) any rough idea of rough cost for 2 adults and 2 children (I know that's not really possible but just generally is it really expensive or reasonable) 4) anything else you might think useful? Thanks, never been to universal so just trying to start planning (3 months to go but need to pass the time somehow!) |

3 broomsticks for theming for me.
You just turn up and queue. Avoid the so called British breakfast - it's appalling. 3 broomsticks menu: google/search?q=3+br...ient=firefox-b Leaky cauldron restaurant - Diagon Alley - menu: touringplans/universal-s...nd-dinner-menu |

They are quick service places, no reservations and the food is nothing special. The theming is good though.

Oh ok I see I thought they were maybe fancy kind of places. That's fine then can just check them out when we pass by and see.
Thank you |

I preferred The leaky cauldron, I think the Diagon Alley theming is much better in general. I'm a mega Potter fan, so had to try both. Gastronomically neither are much to shout home about, but still we had a lovely time

I'm liking the sound of the pea and ham soup or the bangers and mash. Hope they are ok

The pea and ham soup was OK, not much flavour to it and wouldn't bother again. Peter said the fish and chips were nice enough.
