Pixel phone

Has anyone got one and would you recommend it? I know it is android based but what is camera like etc.?

I have always had iPhones but not sure whether to make the change to an android based phone. I know the system well as I use it on my tablet and I know Samsung's have excellent cameras also but just curious about the pixel as I use Google a lot also. The iPhone 7 is fine but not sure if it's time for a change after like 10 years with Apple hmmm

Pixel phone is excellent. From being able to charge the battery from zero to 100% in 20 mins to the excellent camera. I have one and its excellent.

But it is too expensive. A LG G5 is just as capable and costs loads less and has a much better camera and a removable battery, Have a look at all the top end Android phones as they are all very similar.

I would say the LG G5 (I would as its the phone I have!) but for the pure and simple reasons that
a. The LG is loads cheaper and
b. the LG has a superior camera and
c. I can change the battery on my lg phone

(I hate phones where you cant change batteries as the battery wears out with use) Check out this review

androidheadlines/2016...gle-pixel.html

Thats a good site for Android devices it has some excellent reviews.

Thank you I'll take a look! I'm on EE and can get NHS discount so usually get a decent plan so cost isn't really the issue I'm just bored of iPhones now. Samsung s7 edge is another contender

The G5 on three is super cheap at the mo so you will get a excellent deal then, u can pick up an additional battery for less than a tenner and not worry about having to charge up.

Also the G5 has Quick Charge 3.0 so like the Pixel it can charge fully in under 50 mins. (But Annoyingly LG only included a Quick Charge 2.0 mains charger in the box.

I had to buy a Quick Charge 3.0 charger for and additional Ł9 from Amazon) saying that the charger that comes with the
LG will still charge the phone fully from 0 in 70 mins.

I found the Samsung edge vastly overpriced and the edge bit highly annoying when touching icons that were on the edge part of the screen.

I was renewing my old android phone a few months ago and had a good look at all the other models on the market. It is still a top end phone but there are better ones out there (Pixel and the G5! )

Never been a apple fan as its all about aesthetics and logos...

I had an iPhone for years, decided i wanted a change. Got a Samsung s6 edge plus and just couldn't get on with it. I have an ipad and iMac too so that may be why. My son also has an iPhone and i loved being able to check up on his whereabouts (find my iphone). I used it for about 8 weeks then relented and got an iPhone 6s. I just couldn't get the Samsung to do the things i wanted. My husband is a Samsung guy and loves his phone, I'm just an iPhone girl at heart

I have an iPhone 6 for work and a Samsung 7 edge for my personal mobile. I am bored with iPhone and love the Samsung. What I really like about the edge is the design rather than the edge apps which I hardly use

I have the Pixel and love it. I went for it based on previous pure Android devices and just got the Pixel c when my Nexus 10 started having issues.

Both well built great devices.

Pixel great phone but still over priced even with the unlimited full res photo storage.

The S7 edge is a nice phone but the issue is protection of the screen. Bought one for my wife to replace the Note 3 and she hated it. Bought proper case and screen protector, which is not easy, crack!
Insurance job and after getting back from Florida she had it in her handbag with a new leather otterbox case bought from Walmart... crack!
Repaired again and I know have it while DW has my Note 4.

LG G5 very nice phone and high up in the list but I would also have a look at the oneplus 3t.
My sons both have a Motorola G4 5.5" screen and I must say for the price they work really well with no lag.

I looked at it for replacing my iPhone 6, it was a contender with an iPhone 7, they look fab, and my brother swears by android phones (google nexus fan) but I have an iPad, and I realised I'm so ingrained in Apple, that I just can't be bothered with the hassle of going back to android (I had a Samsung s2 and was less then impressed) since on o2 there was absolutely no money saving.
