cruise city direct
I'm looking at the cruises that the above run in conjunction with a stay in Florida and I'm tempted by the west caribbean one that visits Mexico. Anyone done this cruise..any comments to pass on ... I'm talking peak summer ( end of July). Was a bit worried about hurricane season.

The 7 night Disney Western calls at Mexico (Comuzel) if that is of any interest. It leaves from Port Canaveral , about an hours easy driving from Orlando. They are more expensive than most cruises but it is the full on Disney experience and to Disney standards...plus your cabins are larger than most cruise ships per category
For more details look at the Disney Cruise Line website,... and the cruise section of the 'Disboard' website to answer any questions. Mostly cruises are cheaper if you book your cruise separately, with say DCL or a reputable american website such as Dreamsunlimited, rather than part of a package. If you are not thinking of booking a Disney one, then I would pay a visit to the Holidaytruths website and look up the cruise section on the discussion boards there. As for hurricanes in July , I think you would be very unlucky to see one then, as it is only the very start of the season...in any case there are lots of things that any cruise ship can do to avoid such things, such as changing itineries and/or sailing around the storms, rather than through them. Hope this is of some help.
