Norwegian Fjords July 14 part 3
Skjolden
Research showed not much at Skjolden, all of the ships tours involved 3 hours on a bus no thanks. Talking to a lady yesterday there was river rafting which the boys (and myself) were keen to do but it turned out you had to pre book. We walked up to a viewpoint, saw the llama farm, picked some raspberries and went back to the ship to watch Saving Mr Banks after lunch. The sail in was stunning took 5 hours I think they said, we watched the last couple of hours. We are all on 3 network, I was amazed phone and internet everywhere I even posted to facebook from beside the glacier and in the middle of the fjords. So how come its so rubbish in Scotland. Boys! Always climbing something, this was in a park next to the school. We left the fjord around midnight and my son tells me it was rough for about an hour, personally I think he had been in the bar for too long. The seas were so calm the whole cruise it was great.
