Mobile Funnel Cake

Embarrassed to say I've never had funnel cake. I hear it mentioned a lot in here and on the DibbCast. What is it? Where can you buy it and any pics?

It's basically a doughnut, but instead of making a compact doughnut shape, get a funnel and make a scribbly mess in the fat instead. Then top as you would a doughnut, with sugar or sauces.

Really yummy as described by others.

Last time i purchase one was at Hollywood Studios Oasis Canteen, which is near the entrance to Indiana Jones Stunt Show.

Nice for a few mouthfuls then gets pretty sickly, though dh said he could eat a whole one. Like a doughnut but greasier.

Dd had the chocolate sauce which she regretted after trying the one with just sugar, I just had bits of theirs 😊.

I'm in the minority but really didn't like it. All I could taste was the oil it was cooked in. This was a few years ago so could be tempted to try again!

We had one at blizzard beach, it was covered in powdered sugar and topped with ice-cream, it was delicious 😊

You can get them at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom, really scrummy but too much for one person to eat, plus it makes a mess as they are covered with powdered sugar.
