Mobile Would you fly home the day your cruise arrives back?

Hi, trying to put a rough plan together for Disney next year?

Last year we did the cruise at the start of the holiday but I am considering swooping it to the end.

We will be booking the 4 night Disney cruise from Port Canaveral.

I just wanted to hear from anyone who has flown home the same day from Port Canaveral?

Did everything go smoothly?

Pretty new to cruising so any suggestions would be appreciated xx

We normally do this. We either hire a car and go bumbling about for the day, or we book a day room at the Hyatt.

We are.

Our ship docks on Sat 13th Feb at 8am port canaveral. Our flight leaves Mco that night at 8pm. We have hired a car as it was cheaper than getting a shuttle service!

Not sure what we will do for the day, maybe drive a long the coast have a late lunch early dinner before we head to the airport.

It's our very first cruise booked last minute on Friday leaving next Thursday. Can't wait

Nice booking!
Kennedy Space Centre is just up the road. Cocoa Beach is down the road. Or find a new mall down that way that you've not been to and fill any tiny gaps you have in your luggage with new stuff!

I don't think I could do it. I find it depressing enough getting off the ship so to go straight home I think I'd be suicidal!

Hello there! I know what you mean, but we've done it many times now so we're used to it. Doesn't help with the horrible feeling of getting off the ship though!

Oh my gosh, you will absolutely love it!

We went on our first cruise last year and now we are totally addicted!

Funnily though, after taking my Hubby on a 'Disney' cruise kicking and screaming, he now doesn't want to try any other cruise line.

He absolutely fell in love with The Disney cruise and how quiet the adult only areas are.

That's a point - I didn't think of it like that! At lease when we disembarked last year, we still had a week of Disney fun to look forward to!

We did this in October just gone. It was our first cruise and I was a bit bothered about flying the same day we got back but it was all fine and I would do it again.

We did check in at VA at Disney Springs, had a wander then went to Florida Mall before going to the airport.

Thanks - We would already have car hire for the week, so we would have the car at the Port.

It's reassuring knowing it's not a risky thing to do.

I don't suppose many cruise ships get delayed, like flights! LOL xx
