When we went 2 years ago they were more expensive in the US than in the UK. There is a jeweller on the upper floor (if I remember correctly) at Mall at Millennia that sell Rolex's as hubby was on the waiting list for a particular one here and had never seen one and they had one there. They got it out and let him try it etc even though they know he wasn't going to buy it there - very helpful people

I bought mine from an authorised Jewellers in Cheltenham. Think there might be a waiting list depending on which variant.

As for best place, I don’t there’s much difference in pricing as Rolex controls that.

The stainless steel submariner over here has around a 6month to 1yr wait , it's pretty wildly available in the US. The prices with US sales tax but WITHOUT UK vat/duty are about equal so you have to ponder that one for yourself.

The nearest official authorised rolex dealer is Mayers upstairs in the mall@millenia and they had no shortage of submariners last time I spoke to them.

I was looking at Omega watches last year. Way cheaper in the UK.
Go to the likes of icon watches to get a price then take this to your local retailer. I god over 20% off retail price when I bought mine. So even cheaper again than in the US.

Price up at the airport (duty free) as you can check their websites - I bought my watch from Watches of Switzerland at Heathrow

Anyone been to Mayors in the last few weeks and seen a Submariner there?

For anyone interested I’ve just been into Mayors at the Florida mall. They do indeed have one Submariner in stock, the salesman said it was the first one he had seen in a couple of months. It was priced at $8500 (before tax) which once you’ve added Florida sales tax works out quite a bit more expensive than the same model back in the UK (if you can find one).

You need to be very lucky to pick up a Rolex Submariner or any other steel sports Rolex at any of the airport shops...

You can pre-order for collection. Watches of Switzerland didn’t have the model / colour TAG I wanted on their website or in the shop, but they had one in store ready for me to review when I went in. Took about 5-7 day’s for them to get in store, so just contact them and give them sufficient notice.

No obligation to buy either. Excellent service IMO.
