Kennedy Space Centre on Saturday - yes or no?
Title says it all really. Now that October park hours are out I can finally start planning and I need to pick a day for KSC. Going by the busy day guide it looks like the Saturday will be the busiest day for the Disney parks so would this be a good day to do KSC or would we be better visiting during the week?
Thanks |

We went to KSC on a Saturday in October last year. It was really quiet there and a welcome relief from the crowds at the theme park. I would recommend going on the tour to the launch pads firsr as the queue for that seemed fairly long by the time we returned.

Yes we went on a Saturday. Apparently the weekend is best as no school tours. It was quiet when we went.

Yes, the weekend should be no problem and as already been mentioned, you can get several school groups there during the week, not that they are a major problem, but are noticeable.
I would try to go on a day when there is a launch, although it will be busier then. You won't know about launch dates until a few days before - you are planning dates much too early - good plans are flexible. |

Thanks for the replies. I need to think about Disney ADRs soon so I need to have a rough idea when we'll be at KSC and Saturday looks like the best option. Do I need to worry about buying tickets before we go or is it easy to buy on the day?

I also went on a Saturday last year (I think it was possibly Labor Day Saturday). Crowds were very manageable and didn't have to queue for most things (just had a bit of a queue for the bus ride from the Saturn v centre). It was great and certainly a nice alternative to the crowds in the parks.
Would buy tickets in advance. I didn't and had to queue for a little while at the ticket counters there...
