We have done the night time tour.
What I remember were the bugs, boats with fisherman on in the middle of the lake - very spooky and a huge owl sitting on a post about waste height that was so still we sat watching it for ages to see if it would move and prove it was real ( it was ).
The best thing was a lightning storm in the distance while we were out on the lake.
The whole thing was ok and you definitely feel small in the darkness, only the driver has a headlamp on his head, but we didn't see many gators

Yay, someone who has been!

Firstly, I can't believe you didn't see many gators, I thought the night tour was pretty much a guarantee because when you speak to the guide they pretty much say you will see lots, so maybe you were just unlucky that night.

We must admit on our day tour we only saw 1 or 2 and spent an hour riding around trying to find them, with very little success.

The way we see it, is it's such a huge area that we feel its like looking for a needle in a haystack and the majority of times we have done it, we haven't found much, so was hoping the night tour may have delivered a bit more?

Anybody else done it? We'd love to hear from you, as I know it's quite expensive so wandering if it really is worth the extra or not?
