Amazon Prime in UK work in US?

Hi

I plan on buying a GoPro from Amazon US the day before I arrive and get this delivered to the Amazon Locker near my hotel so I can pick up when I arrive.

Do you know whether I will get the Prime delivery from my UK account or do I need to sign up for a new Amazon Prime US account free trial (Cancel before 30 days?).

If you used your UK prime account you'd have to buy it from amazon.co.uk and it would be an international delivery - so no, it won't work.

You'd have to sign up for a free month's trial of prime at amazon.com - and remember to cancel it - but be aware their minimum prime delivery time is usually 2 days not the one we get in the UK. Stuff has to travel a bit further across America than across the UK. But, you log in to amazon.com with your UK credentials and it will remember all your details - you can even pay in £ or $

You can sign into Amazon us using your uk account details but you will need to sign up for a prime trial. I think prime delivery is 2 days instead of our 1.

It works great. I got camera batteries delivered to my hotel in NYC last year using the US free Prime trial.

As above we signed up for the free trial on Amazon.com and got car seats delivered via usa prime. Doing same thing this year.

We are staying in a gated villa resort, how do we get things delivered? Are items left at the gatehouse, or delivered straight to the full villa address? Assuming deliveries for pizzas etc. are allowed on the resort.

Thanks, I did notice that I when I signed into Amazon.com, so wasn't sure if it would ≈≈≈≈≈≈ up my uk Prime. I'll try that nearer the time, allow for the 2 days deliver and the 3 days in the locker.

Also, do I need to have a US residential address? I've already added the locker to my delivery preferences in my account.

Won't affect your UK prime at all - I have both as I have a house over there, but you can't watch most UK prime stuff over there, and you can't watch most US prime video stuff over here, but you'd be able to use their prime video during your trial if that interests you. They can happily run concurrently

Also, no, no need to have any US address on their (other than your delivery one), as long as you have an account - you may have to reenter your credit card details to deliver to a new address but that's all - and decide if paying in $ or £.
