Hi

Apologies if I am pointing out the obvious, but we didn’t know and our umbrella kept falling down on our last trip

If you are going to use your umbrella at the beach you can buy a plastic giant corkscrew looking thing that you put in the sand to hold your beach umbrella up. We eventually cottoned on and got one in Walmart

In our defence we are Scottish and although we live near the beach it’s hardly ever warm enough to go and definitely not warm enough to need a beach umbrella (usually just the other kind) so trying to get one to stand up in the sand was a new phenomenon for us
