Drive from LAX to Norwalk, and back again

We arrive at LAX tomorrow morning, we're picking up a hire car then have to drive pretty much directly east to Norwalk, taking the 105 East, then the 605 North, then the 5 South.

Is there anything we need to watch out for on the drive? I'm assuming there are tolls - do they take cash?

Then on Monday we have to drive back from Norwalk to LAX to arrive at about 9.30am. I'm sort of assuming that what was a half hour journey out will be an awful lot longer heading in at that time in the morning. Will it be as bad as I fear? Should we allow 2 hours rather than 30 minutes or is that ridiculous?
