It is such a shame it is still closed. We missed driving it last year. Our alternative was, we did the 17 mile drive. Then we drove down to Bixby bridge and turned back to Monterey. We dove inland to LA whilst stopping at Solvang. Although we didn't get to drive the PCH and see a lot of the hi lights, seeing the Bixby bridge and the scenery we did was more than enough for us and we enjoyed what we did get to see.
