What's the best way and best place to stop on the way from LA to San Francisco

First when are you going because Highway 1 has a closure until the end of September so if you're going before then you'll get different advice.

Yes sorry not planning till next year but hubby wants to see the coast line so planning Disney then LA and universal and six flags then a drive to san Francisco just wondered how doable it is and where we should stop off 😊

Very doable and the coastline is some of the best in the world imo. We traveled as a couple too and we stayed in Santa Barbara, Carmel, a cabin in Big Sur and the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. Depends on how many days you have for the drive but I would suggest at least 2 nights.

For us.. Madonna Inn at San Luis Obispo and The Monterey Bay Inn at Monterey.. given that the PCH will be clear again later in the year. Both an awesome, never to be forgotten experience.

We did that.. but going N to S this Easter. Might be worth viewing my trip report.. N to South California.
