Rules re Cashback Sites?

Hiya, just wondering what the rules are re posting about cashback sites as a comment I posted this morning seems to have been removed and I don’t want to make the same mistake again. 🙂

I posted links to two cashback sites and also the percentage each site was offering. What is it that isn’t allowed?

I think you can talk about it - I'm always recommending quidco - but I think linking to another site isn't done.

Your links were in breach of our rules, we do not allow affiliate links.

Also, for info, there is a dedicated forum for cashback topics

If you posted your own referral link (so you got paid if anyone clicked on it then joined) it's pretty obvious why.

No, just to the homepage. People post links to other sites all the time, as have I, and I just didn't realise links to these particular sites weren't allowed.

It wasn't just plain links to those sites. Your links had your referral code in them.

Apologies, I must have used the wrong bookmark for one of them - in my defence though, it just came up as the homepage when I clicked on it to check it worked (obviously as I already have an account.

) The other would have been a plain link though as I don’t have a referral for it.

Regardless though, I’ll just make sure I don’t post links to those sites in the future 😊
