Sides at boathouse

Does anyone know if you get a side with your meal such as fries or salad or would you need to pay extra for them

I seem to remember we had to pay extra for the sides. I was hoping it would make its way onto the Dining Plan list of restaurants this time (I don't think it will) as it can end up being quite a pricey meal.

The general rule with US restaurants (and definitely with Disney's website) is that they list everything it comes with on the menu. So if it's just a piece of meat listed, that's all you'll get. I believe the Boathouse steaks don't come with any sides, and the lower price point of the rest of the menu compared to other Signatures make it a pretty poor choice on DDP anyway.

We ate at the Boathouse in November, we weren't expecting sides so ordered some fries, only for the steak to come with roast potatoes! I would ask when you order, as we ended up wasting food with the two types of spuds!

Thanks everyone and I know what you mean about it being 2 credits. As my son might not fancy a steak and may want a burger and if he does then I'll be paying oop for the burger. Not using 2 credits for a cheap burger. I'll ask when ordering about sides

Had exactly the same happen to us. It was really strange. It�s like the potatoes are a big secret!
