MK - which way round the park do you go?

We have 2 ideas about our visit to MK.
Has anyone got any thoughts as to which is the best one. Visiting 1st August with Late MH if that helps:

Idea 1
Rope drop - straight into FrontierLand for Splash & Thunder
Then AdventureLand for Jungle Cruise and Pirates if time
Then Liberty Square for Haunted Mansion or leave for evening
ADR Crystal Palace 12noon
Then FantasyLand for 7DMT FP, Small world & anything else
Then TomorrowLand – for Space FP & Buzz FP, People Mover
Back to OKW to chill
Return for Happily Ever After at 9:15pm
After fireworks – Thunder, Pirates, Aladdin, Haunted Mansion

Idea 2
Rope drop - straight into TomorrowLand – for Space & Buzz
Then FantasyLand for 7DMT FP, Small world & anything else
ADR Crystal Palace 12noon
Then Liberty Square for Haunted Mansion or leave for evening
Then AdventureLand for Jungle Cruise and Pirates
Then FrontierLand for Splash FP & Thunder FP
Then People Mover
Back to OKW to chill
Return for Happily Ever After at 9:15pm
After fireworks – Thunder, Pirates, Aladdin, Haunted Mansion

Both ideas will be a long day but the next day is a chill day so happy to go for it as sadly we only have 1 day in MK.

Thanks

Alison

7DMT would be the best first attraction IMO. Followed by PP perhaps.

OP is planning to FP 7DMT, so leaving that until later is a better strategy than potentially getting caught up in the bulk of the RD crowd.

I think Idea 1 is best, although I would probably do HM first then head over to Frontierland and down into Adventureland. Slightly less backtracking that way. You should still be ahead of the crowds at those, since they're all first hour attractions. For after fireworks, what time is MK scheduled to close? That's a lot of attractions to try and fit in unless it's a very late finish. But I think you could get most of those done in the morning before CP anyway, so the night ride of BTM would be the only must do? (ETA: Just saw it's evening EMH, so you should have time although I still think you could get most done in the morning)

We tend to alternate so have done both directions, but with one day and staying into the evening, definitely idea 1. Tomorrowland looks awesome in the dark. Frontierland is just Frontierland but with some lights on. I also think Pirates, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion get really miserable with long queues in the heat of late afternoon. The queues you'll get in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are easier to cope with in the heat (the exception is Tomorrowland Speedway. That queue can be a killer with the combination of the heat, sun, and fumes).

To be fair, I don't think either of your plans is a bad plan. But I would definitely pick the first option in those circumstances. Have fun!

Thanks everyone for the comments and being the sanity check.

In our head we were learning towards idea 1 but starting to second guess ourselves and to go round in circles with the planning.

Depends when you can get FP for SDMT, if at 30 days it will most likely be evening.

We always start with Tomorrowland with Space Mountain, can get all the rides done in Tomorrowland in the first 90 minutes without any FP, then use FP later for likes of SDMT, BTMT & Splash

I always get a FP for SDMT and PP for around 10:00 and 11:00.

I head clockwise and get adventureland and most of Frontierland done before heading to SDMT at around 10:55.
