Transferred Existing Booking to 2019 Dining Plan
I thought I was in the position of 'you live and learn'. Being new to the Disney booking thing I'd done all my research, with one glaring omission - the free dining plan offer. We booked a few weeks ago in ignorance of the impending offer and were all set for our 2019 holiday at Disney.
When I heard about the offer coming up I was a little gutted but slept on the assumption that prices would probably go up to offset the cost of the offer and indeed that was the case, but only by £200 or so. With the inclusion of a $200 gift card I decided to do the sums and it worked out that even cancelling the existing booking and losing my £200 deposit and rebooking with the latest offer (free dining + $200 gift card) would leave me better off than just adding the dining option. Today I gave a nice chap at Disney a call - and I was so surprised - he said he'd be happy to help out and would just charge a single £50 booking amendment fee and cancel the existing booking, transfer my £200 deposit and rebook everything - 10 minutes later all sorted. I can live with the £50 fee (thats a lesson for me to do a little more research) and we are all good to go. Mondays aren't all that bad |
