Yes, but I think you might be charged a $50 admin fee, and it depends on availability too - but I have read of plenty of people doing it on here for exactly that reason.

That's not bad then, especially if flight difference is by a hundred+. Maybe BA/Virgin will have Christmas sale Dec or Jan time, might be able to pick up a recent reduction. Although TC aren't too bad at £2440 for 2a/2c xx

There are Oct 2019 flights from Manchester, but if you're looking to come back in November, the return flights won't be released for another couple of months:
