You will show zero credit. That is correct. It costs £20 but you are paying for the already activated service.

No need to worry. It will work. You don't and cannot convert the £20 to the add on as it has already been done.

I had the same issue and it did not work as some are suggesting. When i rang them however it was resolved within about 5 mins. I was told there had been a problem and when the sim was activated the credit did not transfer. They also gave me and extra 30 days as had to call from the US to sort it.

This happened to us too. We just used the live chat on the Three website and they resolved it straight away. They just ask you for a few details and fix it from their end.

We sorted it but it was a total faff and took over an hour. Passed from person to person, apparently no record of our credit and we had to email the proof and they then topped it up and converted it for us. Thankfully it is sorted now though!

Glad you got it sorted in the end, it is odd you had the same problem too, and it affected both sims we got.

Have a safe journey. We're here at the moment, the weather's been beautiful today

Glad you got it sorted. Enjoy your first time in Orlando.
Of no use to you now but anyone reading this post and thinking of getting a 3 sim I would always recommend getting a free sim from the 3 website, register, check it works, top up then convert to an add on when ready. This way you are in control at each stage. Just noticed on MSE that on the 3 PAYG any credit not used for six months now expires.

The 3 website still says your credit does not expire but that you must make a call or a text or use data once every 6 months to keep the account alive which has always been the case.
Mobile phone companies tend to deactivate the lines after this so they can reuse the number particularily as they have large sim churns.
Having said that I have had 3 sim cards that have still been active after 6 months when pulled out for the next holiday

Is the 3 sim still the best one to get for Florida?

Hi
For me there’s three options,
3 PAYG or contract
EE if you’re on contract get the EE MAXplan
T-Mobile in the US but you need to visit a T-Mobile shop.
For occasional use in Orlando I would recommend 3
