Mobile Where to go for a Character meal.

Over the years we have had a couple character meals including Tusker House in AK and the Crystal Palace and the castle in MK.
We have also been to the Rain Forest Cafe, Planet Hollywood and the TRex restaurant.
We are not planning on eating in Disney too much as we like to go to the Steak Houses.
I would like to book a character meal so wanted some suggestions. The kids are getting older now, 11 and 13 so not sure about characters like Winnie the Pooh.
Thanks

The Garden Grill at Epcot is a good character meal with Chip and Dale, Mickey and Pluto. We’ve always had good food and excellent character interaction. You usually get to see the characters several times during the meal.

Do they still have the steam boat that you can have the character breakfast on? It was at the boardwark I think.

Wow, that's going back a bit - it was at the Empress Lilly. But hasn't had that since it changed to Fulton's in the mid 90s, and is now Paddlefish.

Anyway OP, are there any characters the kids are in to? That's probably the best place to start. I wouldn't do a character meal just for the sake of doing one if they're not ones of interest. Which is why I only do Garden Grill, none of the others appeal to me.

Tasker House is my absolute fave for breakfast. Also enjoyed Garden Grill (sweet potato fries are to die for) and Ohana with Lilo and Stitch :-)

Why not ask the kids what characters they'd like to meet and take it from there.

They don't really mind. Just trying to save queuing time around the parks. Star wars characters would be good but I have looked and that doesn't seem to be available.

Garden grill is excellent for older kids. Food is wonderful and interaction is fab. Another one to look at might be 1900 park fare. This is with the evil stepmother and stepsisters. they are really very funny.

Cape May Cafe is nice. At the beach club. Breakfast only for characters though. It’s Minnie, Donald and goofy. Very laid back and good food choice and quality.

We enjoyed 1900 Park Fare for dinner too as mentioned above. Surprisingly lovely food here. Great characters
