Disney park tickets

Hi just been playing around with future booking dates and when I looked on line for Disney tickets on the Disney site I noticed the May tickets are showing cheaper that what we paid back in October confused do they normally reduce the ticket prices closer to the time ?

Disney did reduce the price of the 7 day and 14 day 2018 park tickets back in December. They reduced the price by around £50.

The price for May (I assume you mean May 2018) should be the same as for December. The tickets are valid at any time in the year. So, it's not that they are reducing the prices just beforehand.

Disney do reduce the prices sometimes. In the last 2 years they've reduced the price in December for next year's tickets. They may, or may not, reduce the price of the 2019 tickets this December. The price also varies if there is a significant change in the exchange rate. And Disney often does the "14-days for 7" deal at various times throughout the year when they change the price of the 14-day ticket to the same as the 7-day ticket (this usually means a £20 reduction).

Yes, as I said, Disney reduced the prices of the 2018 14-day tickets back in December. They dropped in price to £369 (adult tickets). That applies no matter when in 2018 you go - it's not just for May tickets.

Previous to that, the 2018 14-day tickets were £419 in November and the first half of December 2017. And prior to that, the same tickets were in the usual 14 for 7 deal and the price was £399 (7 day tickets are £20 less than 14 day tickets). Therefore, from October to January (i.e. over a 3 month period) the price varied from £399 to £419 to £369.

The price will change again after July this year when the 14 for 7 deal ends - in this case the price will go up. They may also change price towards the end of this year (although that's a guess). The price can fluctuate quite a bit throughout the year.

They often drop the ticket prices after 'free dining' ends, in other words if you want free dining you have had to pay more for your tickets than if you'd been able to buy after free dining ended.
