Virgin flights help

My 11mnth window has now opened so I can look at return flights but I’m confused. My dates are 06/03/19 - 20/03/19 MAN-MCO direct, if I select 06/03/19-13/03/19 I can get PE for approx 900pp, if I select 06/03/19-20/03/19 it changes to approx 1800pp. If I select one way on 06/03/19 it also jumps from 900pp to 1800pp

Is this usual when dates just become available? I’ve booked direct with Disney for accommodation and was going to add flights with them but was just checking Virgin prices to see if it would be cheaper to buy flights from them.

It's due to the fact that the cheapest (K code) fare has not been released, if you wait a couple of days the fare should come down.

One way fares will always be expensive as they are only sold in the highest fare codes.

As per Cabbie above.

I bet that tomorrow your dates will drop to circa £900 as that's the price to come back on the 19th. By tomorrow the 20th should be the same price.

Go via Quidco for £10 cashback as well.

I don’t know whether you would consider netflights instead of direct, but I priced this dates last night as a dummy booking. With VA £500 ish return in economy. With netflights £350ish.

Thanks guys, I knew someone would be able to offer advice. I’ll wait a couple of days.

No bother. This year is my first Florida DIY and I’ve not decided whether to risk the cheaper ones either! Hope Virgins price comes down for you.

Don't forget to get your Flying Miles as well. Some great deals for Miles flights at the moment. I booked two yesterday as the price was so good.
