Thanks Su - I've put Kona back on my ADR list, bit worried about the noisiness and changes to the menu, but it will be convenient as I've picked it for when we are staying at the Poly.
May cancel the evening one and go for a brekkie now lol

Hi Sue
I do hope I haven't been too harsh about Kona We really did enjoy our meals, honestly. I try to be really impartial in my reports and not be swayed by sentiment, though that's not easy with a much-loved restaurant - as Kona is. Standards have dropped though, and I put this mainly down to the DDP... and a chef who is very fond of sweet things! I wonder if things will settle down again with the new DDP. It'll be interesting to see how things are when we go back in May. |

That breakfast looks really yummy Sue! I love a good omelette.
I can't believe they have changed the veggie noodles. Although when we went I asked for them plain as I don't like them overloaded with veg, I absolutely loved them and the sauce on them was gorgeous! I can't believe they have put pineapple in and changed the sauce. Sooo not a good move for me as I doubt I will eat there now. The noodles were one of the dishes I was craving when we got home. DH has to agree with you about the sticky wings, he really enjoyed them in Sept. Thanks for the report.

Well you are going back before I do , so I can always drop it if you have another lukewarm experience. It is not one of my essentials anyway

Great review!
During our recent stay at the Poly we had breakfast twice and an evening meal once - fantastic food and good service. It was probably our favourite evening meal (definitely for Sue but came about level with Tchoup Chop for me!) Our breakfast on the last day was excellent value (only cost $20 for 5 of us) - tell you why in the upcoming trippies! Sue, you MUST do the evening meal as well! Especially as there are loads of cocktails to try! .

The breakfast looks delish, love eggs benedict. My mouth's watering just thinking about them. It's a shame about the lack of veggie meals, and wouldn't you think they'd be able to offer you at least a couple of options?
