WOW! Great report and great food.
We are def gonna make ADR's for our trip next year esp as we'll be staying at AKL. I was rather unsure if we'd be OK there, as I'm the veggie and DH is the carnie. Problem is that I'm a pretty awkward veggie - don't like mushroom, peppers, courgettes, aubergine, celery... but the chef sounds pretty obliging - would you advise speaking to them 24 hrs in advance for something special?

Dee I'd deffo advise popping into BOMA beforehand. Ask to go into the kitchen and speak to one of the chefs. You may have to be a little bit bold (but friendly of course) but it pays off.
They do tend to use a lot of the ingredients you mentioned, but I'm sure they'll work something out with you. They seem to love veggies at AKL. AKL is a wonderful resort, a great place to chill out a bit, you will love it there. We are there again in October and well excited. |
