You're absolutely right 28 degrees is NOT cold 17 is positively tropical where I live & I'd be there in a heartbeat if it was guaranteed. It's great that the folk over there just now are having such good weather - lucky them, it's been 2 degrees here for last couple of days However I've read quite a few trip reports from Jan/Feb & sometimes it's been as low as 6/7 degrees So, for me, it's a bit of a gamble to go in Jan. Would love to be there for New Year but not sure my family would enjoy the 'cool' weather as much as the warm weather. |

Ah, I see. Yeah, it can get a bit cool in the winter.
I remember the very first time we visited Orlando. It was December and they were experiencing some unusually cold weather. Overnight temperatures were predicted to get down to almost zero degrees C. It was on all the local news stations; they were explaining to people how to lag their waterpipes to stop them freezing and to bring in plants from the garden so they didn't get affected by the frost. They were sort of panicking in the same way we "panic" when there's an inch of snow predicted. We've also been in August when the temps got up to 37 / 38 degs C in the shade. Personally, I think I prefer it to be a bit cold than incredibly hot but that's just me.
