Our 5th Trip of Firsts: Day 7 - Anna Maria Island

So today we were driving to AMI. We had a relaxed morning, breakfast at the villa and packed an overnight bag. We were all excited having read so many good reports about it here. Had only ever visited Clearwater and St Petes before.
We had booked 1 night the Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages. The drive was easy and we stopped along the way for Dunkin Donuts

We had watched Bloodlines on Netflix before we had come on holidays and this whole place just reminded us so much of the family run resort in it

Such a cute little office

Check in was easy and out cottage was literally right on the other side of the road Dropped our luggage off, took a few pics of the place and got changed to head straight to the beach (which is right behind the office!)

The bottom right was ours. A lovely little open plan. One double bed, 1 sofa bed & a kitchen and bathroom. That's our rental car too

We walked across the road and behind the office. Wow. It was just like paradise here, such a beautiful beach.

House goals

After a lovely relaxing few hours on the beach we walked the whole 1 minute across the road and got showered and ready for dinner.

There was only 1 place we intended on having dinner after all the fab trip reports I'd read and that was Sandbar

We got a table on the edge of the sand so he boys went off and played wrestling while we waited on our dinner. Our server was so friendly and chatty. Food was delicious and I had one or two cocktails too that were gorgeous. I was really bad for taking pictures of food on the holiday so I don't have any of our dinner here. We finished dinner shortly before sunset and sat back to enjoy the views

The pictures don't even do it justice, it's just stunning here.

We had a little browse in the shop on the way out and drove back to Cedar Cove stopping in Publix for some milk and biscuits, couldn't not have tea and biscuits back at the cottage

There's a little basin outside the door to wash the sand off your feet. I loved these little touches.

We made up the sofa bed for the boys who were ridiculously excited about it. When I'd told them they were sleeping on a sofa bed they thought I was just going to put pillows and blankets on the sofa for them, when they realised it folded out they were very impressed

We sat outside on the little deck for a whole once the kids day were in bed and then headed to bed.

It was the 3rd November. We could see much further down the beach looked busy but the Cedar Cove spot was empty
