I'm quite looking forward to the Caribbean Beach DVC with the rumoured gondola cable car transport to the parks- another place to use my points, don't think I'll ever book my home resort!

Hi everyone
Is it just me or does anyone else feel a bit angry at all this. We have booked to stay at Disney Port Orleans French Quarter in August, and due to the referb of Caribbean Beach Resort we are finding out that guest are being moved to French Quarter at no extra charge.there a 560 price difference on these hotels for a standard room does anyone think this is fare or do they feel the same way.

But the people moving there didn't want to stay there. They booked CBR originally as that's the resort they were looking forward to staying at. Unfortunately plans have gcnaged and there is a risk it won't be as enjoyable as they had hoped. If there were major works at your hotel you'd expect Disney to move you or give you vouchers to compensate too for the upset.

I read on Disney Tourist Blog that those staying at CBR are being offered $75 per nite voucher to be used toward food anywhere on Disney property since Old Port Royale food court is closed for refurb.

I get ya - I do,

But us minions over at CBR didn't ask for this,

If I were you I'd give Disney a call and have a rant at them

afterall they caused this mess and your ill feelings

maybe they will $pread the ove a ittle and make you feel better...

you never know, maybe just a room upgrade or $25 giftcard.

Its your holiday too and your blood shouldn't boil

so point that boiling blood at the people who caused this and not the actual victims of it, you know the people who were forced to move and have their plans disrupted.

Hello and welcome to theDibb.
I booked my third trip to CBR last April. We love it there and it suits us. Unfortunately the announcement of building work and closures was announced and suddenly my holiday as I knew it was to change. Not wanting to holiday in a building site, I requested to be moved. I'm entitled to that you see. The price difference is not really relevant as they are both moderate hotels. Like for like. I'm sure if the same was to happen at POFQ, you would have the same level of concern. Disney have offered this to their guests, maybe you should take this up with them?
