Virgin luggage allowance

Got my email this morning to print my tickets 😆😆😆😆
We are economy going out and PE on the way back. I know you get 2 cases in PE but while looking at the tickets it says 2 pcs for both going out (eco) and coming back (PE)
Is that correct? We get 2 cases both ways?

We are doing same eco out pe back. I understood it was 1 pc each going out in Eco and 2 back in pe

We're doing E going out and PR coming back too - we have 1 piece each going out and 2 pieces each coming back.

We are going for 2 weeks and are taking 2 cases each - they will be pretty empty going out but full coming back

We did this in 2014.

Economy out an PE back and had 2 bags in both directions.

TBH I don't know if travelling in PE just one way gives you the baggage allowance of 2 cases in both directions. A. because I have never done it and B because my Gold card gives me an extra bag anyway so never had to check.

However, look on your actual e-ticket from VA and it is listed on there for each direction of travel. Scroll down to the purple heading 'baggage allowance' and it lists it. Example below:

The following baggage fees may apply for each sector between:
LGW - MCO
First Checked-In bag fee: FREE
Maximum checked-in bag weight: UP TO 50 LB/23 KG
Dimensions must not exceed:

The above is mine for PE in both directions and notice it says 'First and second bag checked FREE'.

Just check on there for a definitive answer.

I now this applies if flying with BA, not aware that virgin have the same policy. Just found this info on they're website.
If your journey involves travelling in different cabins, such as travelling out in Economy and returning in Premium Economy, you will be entitled to the applicable baggage allowance for each part of your journey.
