Air Canada Rouge - cancel or not?
Booked today for June-July next year glasgow-toronto-MCO for £1600 for 2adults, 1teen,1child. Didn't realise it was Rouge transatlantic and not Air Canada, wondering whether to cancel and continue looking for alternative flights (can get full refund in first 24hours).Also a 4 hour stopover both ways. I'm a worrier so stressing about the IFE, cramped seats, poor meals etc as per reviews or will the cheap price be worth it?
Any advice from dibbers greatly appreciated! |

Hi snoopy... have you checked out seatguru.com for the seat map of your aircraft? That will also tell you if it has seat back IFE, most pond hopping aircraft do now. I'm currently checking out business class on their 767 from Dublin to Toronto, video's look canny as does the price. You'll have to apply for Canada's eTA (their ESTA) if you stay with your choice, 7 dollars apiece. I'm torn atween AC and United. United's reviews on AirlineQuality.com are very bad, especially their domestic routes.

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. Yes I had a look on seatguru, you need to take your own device eg iPad to stream their IFE. We don't have ipads so you can hire on plane but reviews aren't great.
Main issue is seat pitch only around 29". Would have suffered this for shorter flight but think might struggle gla-Toronto and home again ☹. Also older planes, food rubbish...doesnt seem great start to holiday! Need to decide today if anyone else got advice? |

I think that I read in someones trip report that they flew with them -
It's NeilHD's 'Amazing Race' report in General trip reports. We've flown with Westjet - also a canadian budget airline, and thought they were good. |

My cousin flew rouge and said it was worse than air transat (who we just flew with and they weren't great tbh), she said she will willingly pay much more to never fly with them again!

I flew with them about 3 years ago, Glasgow, Toronto Orlando and I felt they where good, food good, easy to use I pad with movies on plane, immigration quiet. Toronto airport was nice with good choice to eat.

That's nice to hear a report where it was a good experience. One of the plus points would be clearing immigration before MCO. How did you find the seats, did you notice the lesser leg space?
