25th Wedding Anniversary California Road Trip Day 8

Awake at 4 am to watch the Rangers v Celtic game. Then back to sleep by 7.30 and slept till 10.20. Slow rise and out to the beach for the rest of the day... absolutely fabulous, although DH did get a bit burned.

We bbq'd for dinner and had a couple of relaxing drinks before bed.

Steps: 5,503
3.41 km

A lovely relaxing day. My DH would have done anything for a day like this on our trip. He's a real sun worshipper while I would have burnt to a crisp after about half an hour at the beach, despite always wearing at least a SPF30.

DH doesn't usually burn so it was surprising - SPF70 was bought for his burnt bits for the next day where he had to walk around Disneyland all day.

It really was good to re-charge the batteries by doing nothing much at all.

A recharging day is always such a good idea - the beach looks lovely!

We definitely needed it. The beach was perfect, not too busy either.
