Avis Group W Ford Edge or similar
We've got a bargain BA flydrive into Miami for next August. and have booked a group W car - Ford Edge or similar. There will be 2 ad and 2 ch with probably 3 suitcases and 2 cabin bags. Do you think the luggage will fit in the boot? - i don't want to have to put it on the back seat with the kids for the drive up to Orlando Thanks

I love the Edge. We had one in 2011 when the Icelandic volcano went “pop”. It was really comfortable for the 1,000+ mile road trip to Houston for the earliest flight home we could get...
Plenty of room for family of four and luggage Regards Gary

We had an Edge this year with Avis. Same number of people as you and we had 4 cases and probably 5 cabin bags. I think we got all the cases and most of the hand luggage in the boot. Odd bag under seat when we stopped. We also bought a black sheet to spread across the luggage as the hire cars don’t have parcel shelves.
We loved car. The GPS was unlocked and we were able to link our phone to the entertainment system to play our music and make calls.

We fitted more in our kuga on the way home so no worries in an Edge!

Just came back and had an edge. I filled the boot with 2 x XL suitcases and 2 x Medium suitcases. and had hand luggage on the top. You will be fine.
Although if you can avoid the AWD model. I had the 2.7 Ecoboost AWD and it was the worst fuel economy of any car I have had in the states. The 3.7 V6 mustang i had in march was more economical. Obviously fuel is cheap but basically used more fuel for no reason as never needed the AWD. |
