Place you picked the car up from:- MCO
Category of car hired:- Standard SUV
Make of car you got:- Ford Explorer Limited
Hire car company used:- Alamo Brits
Dates:- 06/09 - 16/09

First of all apologies its taken me so long to get this up! Kept forgetting about it..

I have made a thread previously about how I got the Explorer but Ill go over it briefly. Arrived at the garage at about 4pm, a fairly decent amount of cars were in the Standard row but nothing that really took my fancy, a lot of Journeys and Santa Fes. Wandered around for probably around 5 mins or so and decided I would go and ask at the kiosk to see if any Explorers were coming round soon, the guy radioed through and told me someone would bring one round for me! Waited by the kiosk for about 10 mins and it finally came round, a staff member jumped out and asked if it was for me, showed them my paperwork, they tried telling me I hadnt hired the right category so couldnt have it at first.. But I explained I asked the other guy and he radioed and said all was ok and then they handed me over the keys!

Fantastic car all round, apart from the interior colour... Working sat nav, heated seats, cooled seats, heated steering wheel, electrically adjustable drivers and passenger seats. Averaged low 20s mpg. We had the rear 2 seats folded flat the whole time as only 2 if us, this is all done by touching a button so really simple, electric tailgate as well that closed at the touch of a button. It survived Irma as well so good build quality!

A great car all in all and would recommend to anyone hiring a Standard SUV.

Surprisingly bigger than i thought originally when booking it said focus or similar and we thought we might have to put one of the bags on back seat. but was more than big enough we might have got a small pushchair in there or another small hand luggage case in the trunk as well.

was fine inside plenty of room for two adults and a toddler or possibly two smaller children, also we had 2 large suit cases, one hand luggage bag in the boot, but i truly realised how much i hate cvt gearboxes

This is a stange one... the rear wiper coverage was not in the centre of the window... as can be seen here -- poor design ?

DIBB Villa Reviews: 1
Alamo Oct/Nov

Booked standard suv from Alamo. The first car was a Jeep Grand Cherokee from MCO Full leather, heated and cooling seats, panoramic sunroof and working sat nav.

The next car was again from Alamo Port Everglades. Booked full size car and received a Chevrolet Impala, full leather and just 22 miles on the clock, still had the plastic on it.

We dont travel light and both cars were very comfortable and more than pleased with what we managed to get.

Place-- Orlando Airport.
Company-Alamo - though ocean florida
Category-Midsize SUV.
Taken-Premium Suv - Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie QuadCab 5.7 V8 hemi,auto.
Dates-03/11/2017 - 19/11/2017.

When we booked the holiday we got a free upgrade to a midsize suv but always wanted a pickup truck. When we got to the Alamo garage there were only 2 jeeps left one was being loaded and the other was a 3 door Jeep Wangler so got told to pick anything from the Standard line my dad picked a Ford Edge Titanium pictures to follow below, went up and down the standard row but no trucks so went back to one of the staff to ask if we could take a pickup as my son really wanted one (hehe use the young to pull on the heart strings it worked) they said sure pick any you want.

Yes it fit

oh dear glad its not uk price

Yes Heated and cooled seats amazing

Hertz at MCO

Place you picked the car up from:- MCO
Catergory of car hired:-Convertable, Camero or similar
Make of car you got:- Camero RS
Hire car company used:- Hertz

Front seat adjusted for an adult driving, not a lot of leg room in the back. Entrance is very difficult, unless your your nimble, due to the front seat belt impeding the way into the back.

Top up. Room for 2 medium suitcases and a couple of small carry ons down the side.

Top down. Couldnt even get one of the suitcases in he trunk.

Place you picked the car up from:- MIA
Category of car hired:- Midsize SUV
Make of car you got:- Chevrolet Suburban Premier
Hire car company used:- Avis through BA
Dates:- 04/12/17 - 15/12/17

We booked a midsize SUV as part of a BA flydrive, I am already a member of Avis preferred so went straight to the office in the garage and asked if they had any SUVs with Apple CarPlay, they offered me the Suburban as a free exchange

Its a 2017 model with all the extras including heated/cooled seats, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, active cruise control, working sat nav, Wifi hotspot etc etc

On the run from Miami to Jensen Beach we averaged 21 mpg which I didnt think was bad at all for a V8.

Boot space with the third row of seats up

Boot space with the third row of seats down

Size compared to a normal SUV, they are level at the front
